Attractions

Rome

The Colosseum stands proud, ruins still breathe history, the Vatican dazzles with detail, mornings start with espresso in a crowded piazza, afternoons drift into plates of cacio e pepe, and evenings end under a sky that turns everything gold.

Palatine Hill

One of Rome’s seven hills. Legends say Romulus founded the city here. Later emperors built their palaces on top. The ticket for the Colosseum and Forum also includes this hill.

Footwear

Streets are uneven and often steep. Comfortable shoes make a big difference.

Time needed

The Forum is larger than it looks. Plan at least two hours if you want to walk through the main ruins without rushing.

Tickets

One ticket covers both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, so plan time for each site.
