Best Spots to See the Tower

The nearest pier to visit the tower is Üsküdar. But if you just want to see it from the water, take a ferry from Beşiktaş to Kadıköy for a stunning Bosphorus view!

A Tower of Legends

According to legend, an Ottoman sultan built the tower to protect his daughter from a prophecy predicting her death by a snake bite. Despite all precautions, she was still bitten - by a snake hidden in a fruit basket!

Boat Access Only

The only way to reach the tower is by boat. Tickets are sold at the pier across from the tower and include round-trip transport and entry. The queue is about 15 minutes.
